Terms of Service

Plain-language terms for working with the studio.

We write terms the way we write estimates — clearly, without padding. If anything below is unclear, call us. A senior answers between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Mountain Time.

1. Services

Global Engineering LLC ("Studio") provides construction cost estimating, material takeoff, architectural design, MEP estimating, bid management, and related advisory services. The specific scope, deliverables, and fees for each engagement are set out in a written Estimate Proposal or Service Agreement issued prior to work commencing.

2. Fixed-Fee Pricing

All estimates are priced on a fixed-fee basis. The fee covers the scope described in the Proposal only. Changes in scope — additional trade packages, revised drawings, extended bid periods — are quoted separately before any additional work begins. There are no surprise invoices.

3. Turnaround & Delivery

Turnaround time is confirmed per project at the time of engagement confirmation and stated in the written Proposal. Estimated timelines communicated prior to confirmation are indicative only and are not binding. Expedited and Rush options carry premium pricing as stated in the Proposal. Turnaround times assume complete drawings are received before 12:00 noon Mountain Time on a business day. Holiday and weekend submissions are treated as next-business-day receipts unless a Rush rate was agreed in advance. The Studio will notify the client promptly of any delay and agree a revised schedule.

4. Accuracy & Disclaimer

Estimates are professional opinions of probable cost based on the drawings and specifications provided. They are not guarantees of actual construction cost. The Studio is not liable for variances caused by incomplete drawings, changed market conditions, contractor pricing strategies, or errors due to any reason. Estimate accuracy may vary depending on the completeness of drawings, scope definition, and delivery timeline. If the client identifies any errors or requires adjustment, all projects include one (1) free revision within the original scope. Any additional revision, or any change in scope beyond the original Proposal, may result in an additional charge, which will be quoted in advance. The Studio reserves the right to decline additional revisions or scope additions at its discretion.

5. Intellectual Property

Upon receipt of full payment, the client owns the estimate document outright. The Studio retains the right to reference the project type and scale (not the client name or drawings) in its portfolio. Drawings and design documents shared with the Studio for estimating purposes remain the sole property of the client (or their architect). The Studio will not share them with any third party without written consent.

6. Payment

Payment is due upon delivery of the estimate. The Studio accepts ACH transfer, credit card, and wire transfer. All fees are payable 100% in advance prior to commencement of work. At the Studio's sole discretion, an arrangement of 50% advance payment with the remaining 50% due upon delivery may be offered to the client; however, the client is liable to pay the remaining 50% in full regardless of any personal, professional, or service-related circumstances. The Studio reserves the right to autocharge the client's payment method on file for any remaining balance or outstanding dues. Work does not commence until the agreed advance payment is cleared.

7. Limitation of Liability

The Studio is not liable for any claim arising from the use of its estimates or deliverables. The Studio provides a professional service and offers one (1) free revision within the original scope; additional revisions or scope additions are available at an agreed additional charge. The Studio may refuse any request for additional revision or scope addition at its discretion. The Studio is not liable for consequential, indirect, or punitive damages of any kind, including but not limited to lost profits, missed bid deadlines, or construction cost overruns, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

8. Remote Services

The Studio provides all services remotely. We serve clients across the United States and internationally, including Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and other countries. We do not offer site visits, physical meetings, or on-site presence as part of our standard service offering. If a client requires a site visit or in-person meeting, this may be arranged as a separate, additional service and will be quoted accordingly.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Montana. Any dispute shall be resolved in the courts of Flathead County, MT, or by binding arbitration in Kalispell, MT, at the Studio's election.

10. Changes to Terms

The Studio may update these terms at any time. The version in force at the time your Proposal is issued governs that engagement. Updated terms are posted at globalengineeringllc.com/terms. Last updated: May 2026.
