A small practice
producing defensible numbers
from Kalispell, Montana.
We are a remote construction estimating studio based in Kalispell, Montana. We produce estimates, material takeoffs, and architectural sets for contractors, developers, and owners across the United States — about forty new files a year, give or take. We answer our own phones.
§ I / What we believe
Five things we
hold to.
These aren't mission statements. They're house rules — the things we hold to when the deadline is tight, the client is anxious, and the easy thing would be to look the other way.

A number is not an opinion.
Every line item in a Global Engineering estimate has a quantity (sourced), a price (dated), and an initial. If we cannot defend it on a Tuesday morning call, we have not done our job.

Two signatures, always.
No estimate, takeoff, or drawing leaves the studio with one signature on the cover. The reviewer is never the originator. This is non-negotiable, even when we are short-handed.

The senior on the cover answers the phone.
When you call us about a file, you reach the person who signed it — not a receptionist, not an account manager, not an offshore handler. The phone rings at the senior's desk.

Hard numbers, plain language.
We write our cover memos so that a lender, a contractor, and an owner can all read them and walk away with the same understanding. Industry jargon belongs in the line items, not the summary.

Small, on purpose.
We could grow. We don't. The studio is built around a number of files we can dual-review without dropping the standard — and we cap intake there.

Founded
Adam Harris incorporates in Whitefish, MT, working from a converted garage.
2011
First commercial estimate
A 12,000-sf office block in Bozeman becomes file №. 001.
2012
Lisa Morgan joins
A licensed Montana architect partners with Adam, adding design services in-house.
2014
Move to Kalispell
The studio relocates above the coffee roaster on South Main.
2018
Kevin Park joins
Trade-specific MEP estimating becomes a dedicated service.
2019
100th file
A Phoenix logistics warehouse closes out as the practice's hundredth file.
2020
Remote-friendly
Plan intake, scoping calls, and delivery move fully online. Turnaround drops by half.
2022
Bid-management practice
A win-rate analytics database is opened to clients as a standalone service.
2024
500th file
The Burnham mixed-use estimate becomes file №. 040.
2025
Today
Sixty-four active clients, fully remote delivery, and the same standard since 2009.
